Solutions and impact

Nature as a solution to society’s biggest challenges

Nature-inspired actions that deliver environmental, social and economic benefits.

Conservation is
everyone’s mission

Since its creation, the Foundation has provided financial support to projects focused on nature conservation.

Initially, the process relied on public notices, but we eventually recognized that conserving nature also required innovative projects.

As we evolved alongside new technologies, business models, connections, and co-creation opportunities, the Boticário Group Foundation has broadened society’s involvement in identifying challenges and developing solutions for the conservation of Brazilian nature.

Initiatives that
generate impact

In 2020, Teia de Soluções (Web of Solutions) was launched to provide financial support for initiatives focused on nature conservation. Through these efforts, we also train and enhance businesses by sharing knowledge and practices from various sectors, helping them achieve better results for the environmental cause.

As a result, we have become a reference for developing numerous projects, including the Web of Solutions, new sustainable business proposals, and the Entrepreneurial Nature Program.

Positive impact
businesses

Conserved nature holds significant strategic value for the country’s economic and social development.

By supporting innovative entrepreneurs who drive positive social and environmental impact and generate income for individuals and communities, we expand our efforts for this important cause.

Together, we connect different stakeholders to integrate nature conservation into the social finance agenda, reinforcing both the economy and the environment.

Standing forest,
business opportunity

Our goal is to engage investors, promoters, intermediaries, and key players within impact investment ecosystems by presenting a new business model.

So, what exactly is a business with a positive impact on biodiversity conservation?

These are enterprises that are intentionally focused on addressing a socio-environmental issue through their core activities (whether through their products, services, or operational methods). They operate within the market economy, with a business model aimed at generating financial returns, while also committed to measuring the impact they create.
They promote income through processes such as:

  • Sustainable tourism.
  • Sustainable fishing, aquaculture and mariculture.
  • Sustainable agriculture, livestock and forest management.
  • Sustainable products and services.
  • Sanitation.

Entrepreneurial
Nature Program

The Entrepreneurial Nature Program was established in 2019 with the goal of exploring innovative and alternative approaches to nature conservation, while creating a business ecosystem focused on positive environmental impact investment.

The process involves business training and acceleration, with the aim of helping entrepreneurs generate revenue, enhance their positive impact, and transform their businesses and communities through innovation and entrepreneurship.

The regions of the Great Atlantic Forest Reserve and Guanabara Bay were selected to actively develop the business and impact investment sectors focused on nature conservation. Following numerous initiatives and local efforts, both impact ecosystems have seen growth in the number of actors, businesses, investors, and promoters, fostering a positive and meaningful movement within these territories.
